My local dealer, Fremont Chevrolet, wants a $5000 markup on a Grand Sport or Grand Sport X. Do we want to start a list? I have a deposit at MacMulkin, but wanted to give local dealers a chance to earn my money. Looks like that won't happen.

We (Abel Chevrolet in Rio Vista, CA ) plan to sell GS and GSX at or below MSRP. We do have a list going for the GS, but I only have 1 local customer on my list for a GSX. We don't know how many we'll get, but hoping for a couple per year or more.
I live in WA and had to do the same thing because all the dealers here are playing that same game. Found another dealer from someone on the other forum in ID who is selling GS at invoice price.
I'm working with a local dealership in southern California to order a GS 2027 Vette. Supposedly they have an "allocation" from another dealership and wanted to charge me the $3500 for the allocation number. I said NO DEAL. I'll go back to Ciocca and order from them. Right now working with ALL the "ADDITIONAL OPTIONS". I liked it better when you selected YOUR color and the car was ordered. Too many options to choose from. I'm a female and these options are rather confusing to me. BTW, I have a 2023 Stingray yellow Z51 pkg, LT2, less than 7K miles, premium wheels, etc., etc. for sale.

The options are confusing no matter which chromosomes you have. GM does not do a great job of detailing it all in a format for normal humans. Good luck, and hope it comes out how you want it!
My local dealer put me #1 on list at MSRP .2 months ago when the odds were high the GS was going to happen. . They got an allocation 2 weeks ago for 27 GS and today I received my TPW of 6/22
I agree I would refuse to pay any mark up AND junk fees/add ons.
Plenty of dealers on the forum at MSRP but may have longer waiting lists
Thanks for thinking the same way as I am. Additional options are my worst nightmare. I worked with one salesman and he tells me "I've spent 26 min talking to you and that I have other customers to help!!!" What a turn off. Then I worked with the local dealership, sat and talked over 2 hrs re all the options (still unclear on some of them) but they have an "allocation" from another dealership costing $3500. I was finally able to say NO $3500 or I'll go to another dealer. The $3500 was quickly removed. However, the local dealership has been trying to send me a pdf file and I can't open it. Will stop in person on Friday to obtain the final "work bench" order for my perusal before I give them an OK to submit the order.
