Default Several C6 electrical issues

I have several issues and will gladly take any helpful hints.

Issue 1. My instruments stopped working. HUD still works. I read various posts about grounds and cables disconnecting from the back of the panel, etc. I checked all that. Also the check engine light functions as expected in the panel. Will that still work if you have a ground problem? I am concerned the panel died. It drives just fine.

Issue 2. The day I had arranged to work on issue 1 I saw 2 new bigger issues. When I pressed the button to start sometimes everything electrical died in car. No lights, doors didn’t work, nothing. The only way to revive it was to disconnect the battery.

Issue 3. When I pressed the button to start everything electrical would shut down, then 10 seconds later come back to life with no action on my part.

So when I go to start my car and press the button one of 3 things happens:
1-it starts and runs great, but I have no instruments
2-it loses electrical for 10 seconds, then things like the radio and hvac come back and work just fine
3-it loses everything electrical, completely dead, until I disconnect the battery

This could be several different issues for sure. I am open to any ideas on where to start. I am hoping that someone has seen something similar and can save me some cycles.

If I put this in the wrong forum I will move it, just let me know.

Thank you,
Drew

FIRST get your battery load tested...next if you have a factory level scan tool see what modules you can or can't communicate with like the IPC and see if you have any stored trouble codes...if no scan tool take your car to an auto electric shop in your area if you have no electrical diagnostic skills...don't think we can diagnose this over the Internet...watch this 3 part video...this is how you need to do to diagnose your car.

Thank you for the fast reply. My scanner is only checking for engine codes, there aren’t any. My expertise is mechanical and engine, limited on electrical. I will look around central Ohio for a good electrical shop through my various car friends.

Don't feel bad in that your expertise is mechanical and engine...99.9% of professional mechanics say the same thing...most can barely diagnose a light bulb circuit !!
