Default Corvette Celebrating America's 250th Birthday at the Indy 500!

UPDATE --

No new car or packaging coming, but "On Saturday afternoon, Chevrolet will send its new Corvette ZR1X down a 186-foot line of 250 lit candles, spaced nine inches apart, before the vehicle transitions into a 100-foot-diameter drift through a cloud of smoke."

New teaser out from Corvette today --

We already know the ZR1X is going to be the pace car at the Indy 500, but it looks like Chevrolet's got something extra special planned, maybe a red variant of the Stars & Steel Edition? Maybe a new Pace Car Edition?

UPDATE: less likely that there's going to be a car (well, at least one announced today), but Chevy spilled the plans on local news --

"On Saturday afternoon, Chevrolet will send its new Corvette ZR1X down a 186-foot line of 250 lit candles, spaced nine inches apart, before the vehicle transitions into a 100-foot-diameter drift through a cloud of smoke."

I had Pace Car #328 for about 20 years, then sold it with 2 other Vettes to but my C7. I do miss the attention it got at car shows, etc. Maybe I will buy another one day.
