ZR1X convertible with ZTK pkg to be delivered in 2 weeks and wanted to make appt with dealer to show me all the operational features. Was told by my dealer on my end
"will set you up for online training and 1 -2 hrs and cost is $750". What!!!!! Spend $370k and they want to tell me GM charges $750 to tell me how it works? Anyone ever heard of this?

they have acquired a taste for your money........i wonder why
Absolute nonsense! I bought my '26 ZR1 at MSRP with $0 fees for "training". You obviously paid an ADM and now they want to charge you $750. What a joke! Yes I agree they got your ADM so now they are going to fleece you for another $750 nickel and dime fee--CRAZY!

Yes, I did see several ZR1's at MSRP but the ZR1X convertible and ZTK pkg was a bit up there in price and ADM. But let me clarify, my selling dealer was up north. My residence dealership, I simply wanted to go by and get some very basic operational features and was gonna pay him for his time, but telling me it was $750 because I did not buy there, is insane. He didn't have one to purchase anyway.
I wouldn't trust someone who has never actually been in the car to train me on it. Yes, most things are similar to all the other Corvettes, but sure, some things aren't. $750 is laughable. Heck, you could probably arrange a Zoom or something with your selling dealership after spending that much with them.

Let me understand--you are asking a dealer to show you how a car works but you did not buy it from the dealer you are asking to show you the basic operation features? Of course they are going to charge you. I did not understand that from your original post. Either the dealer you did not buy the car from will not show you operational features or it is very reasonable for them to charge you something for their time. Dealerships are profit businesses not non-profits. It is not insane for them to charge $750 for their time based on what I now understand. Actually, they are being nice because they should say "go pound salt" since they are in business to sell and service cars not provide operational advice on cars purchased somewhere else!
FYI--I purchased my '26 ZR1 Coupe with ZTK from MacMulkin at MSRP but I am also a previous customer of theirs.

My counter to that would be that they are most likely to be the servicing dealer and provide any warranty work, thus making money on a vehicle they didn't sell. Charging $750 is the problem for me, not the fact that they charge. This is a salesman providing the help and not the "service department" who does bill by the hour. I wonder what salesmen do when they aren't actually selling cars? I've gone to dealerships to possibly buy, and the salesmen offered to show me all the features before knowing if I was going to buy the car or not.

Let me clarify even further, this morning, the salesman said this will not be done at the dealership. He said he has to come to my residence and charge me $750 for an hour to set me up a GM online training. So, now it becomes a private transaction where the guy is acting on behalf of Chevy/GM online but pocketing the $750. Wondering if this is something GM offers online for free to owners? I will take the advice of thoroughly reading the online manual before car gets here. Thanks guys!

After he comes to your house and provides your training, don't forget to tip.
