I recently posted a thread on here asking for yalls opinions on 2 c6s i found for 15k after taking yall's feedback,(thanks so much btw), I decided to not go with any. Here are 2 more I would also like feedback on. Yes I am aware that at 15k I would most likely spend more on repaid and I fine with that as this is meant to be a more fun car that I can drive occasionally and every once in a while take to a track.
1st one is from a dealership in Jacksonville Florida I already spoke to them and they specified they have no other hidden fees/mandatory fees with the purchase. They also allow me to bring in a mechanic for a Pre purchase inspection or to take my car to a nearby place of my choosing. Final Price of this would 15700. Note the dealer also sent me videos of the engine running if that means anything.
2nd One is through a private seller on market place. Says its been sitting for a year only known issues are rear main seal oil leak and that the brakes would need to be replaces soon the total price on this one would be 14500. (also video of the engine running except he doesnt show the engine)
Here is the first listing: Dealership 15700$ This vehicle is for sale by Brueder Auto Sales. Year : 2006 Make : Chevrolet Model : Corvette Mileage : 139201 MI Body style : Coupe
Here is the second Listing: Facebook Market Place 14500 Hey guys this is my personal C6 corvette. I love this car and would keep it forever. However I am moving somewhere where the car is too low to the ground to travel. So I need to sell it. Below I will list all the information! 122,000 miles Stainless works full exhaust headers BTR hot rod camshaft trunion upgrade installed After market intake CarPlay radio 3.5 second 0-60 Suspension package All brand new tires Installed a back up camera Rear main seal oil leak! Big bummer and if I had to guess, would take about $700 to fix. Brakes might need to be fixed soon Been in a garage its whole life.
First thing, I am a sucker for Crystal Red and cashmere. At those miles I would guess it has been painted and well detailed to look that sharp. Can you get a Carfax on the car. I know they don't tell all, but if you can see some type of regular service, that would be a plus. Any DEALER feedback on social media? The fact that he will let you bring someone to check it out for you, or take it somewhere is a positive sign.
As for the silver car, I think there are way too many mods that can go wrong if not set up properly. And I admire his honesty with the rear main seal leak, and MAYBE brakes, I think there could be a lot more lurking in that car.
It has been awhile since I was checking out prices so I can't tell you if 15K is a good deal for those miles, but even if it has been taken care of, I might walk away. Good luck with your decision.
Of those 2, I'd much rather have the red one. It's a great color, better transmission and the fact that the silver one has been sitting for a year would scare the crap out of me. Every car I've ever looked at/ owned that has been sitting for a long time has been a never-ending death of a thousand cuts.
I avoid those small lots like the plague. That paint looks way too clean for the price and age, but I am also skeptical from the get-go with those places, but I may be wrong. What are your plans for car? If keeping stock, I agree pass on the 4 speed and go with the 6L80. If your going to build the engine, the 4L65 is the better trans but plan on $8k to make it bulletproof with converter. Personally, I sought out the 05 for the 4 speed but I am far from stock.

That's why I told him on his other post that it is imperative he see it in person. Pics only tell part of the story. Of these two, I would select the red car if it checks out.
