Default Eckler’s tilt front end install

Hello all,
i managed to find a 20+ year old new/unused Eckler’s tilt front end. I plan on installing it on my 73.

it was easier to record a video of what I need help with than to type out pages of description, plus it gives better scale and orientation than pics. Please check it out and let me know your ideas.

Chris

Let’s simplify all ideas and put them to good use.

Leave all bars as long as possible.
Add an angle bar to each side which will connect the upright bars to the sidebars running alongside the hood for extra support.

Make sure the hiem joints fit the frame before doing any tack welding or fiberglass bonding.

Since you have the lblack headlite support bar, bond it in place and fab mounting tabs to attach it to the left and right pivot arms supports.

Cut a crossbar to length to hold the left and right pivot arms parallel to each other firmly in place.

TACK-Weld all metal bars while the front clip is in place.

lightly bond all ends to the underside of the clip to hold them in place when the clip is placed on the car frame.

Make sure both angle bars and the cross piece clear everything before final welding.

Double check all clearances between the modified tilt support and the car components.

When satisfied with the fit and clearances, remove the clip from the car and FINISH-WELD all pieces together.

Sounds easy enough. I was hoping to keep this all bolt on (anchoring it to fiberglass) so the tilt/hinge portion is removable for inspection and painting. Burying steel in fiberglass makes me nervous IRT future rust. I do plan on epoxy priming the metal before final assembly.
