Default New owner, few questions

Hey everyone, just bought a 2017 Z06 M7, 3LZ Z07 package in silver. Flew out to Michigan and drove it 850 miles and 13 hours back home to MA. Car mechanically seems good, no issues. Cosmetically, its rough. Needs some love.

Anyways, I plan on racing the car up at the drag strip. As cool as the CCB's are I really dont have any use for them. If I take them off and sell just the rotors, I can swap just normal rotors on, correct? I wouldnt imagine Id need different calipers but figured Id ask.
Also, is there a difference in wheel size I can run if I decide to NOT sell the CCB's? Id like to put an 18" wheel on the rear. But not sure if some 18s will fit CCBs and some wont?

Only issue Ive come across, is the driver side mirror does not work. I took the mirror apart when I got home, and it wasnt plugged in. So Ill have to take the door panel off. But does GM sell a painted driver side mirror assembly? Painted silver not black. Although, black would looks nice. Thanks everyone!

If you plan to go with OEM iron brakes, properly-sized calipers are required. When I converted from iron to CCB, swap of nearly all brake hardware (i.e., all four rotors, all four calipers, and front lines) was required. The only parts that could be reused were the rear lines(, but I swapped those to stainless as well).

I run OEM-size wheels all-around, so I'm not sure how small you might be able to go with CCBs.

When our cars were new, side mirrors could be optioned in body color or Carbon Flash (i.e., metallic black). I'm not sure how GM may sell them in the aftermarket, but they're easy enough to have painted to match whatever color you want.

You might find the right colored mirror on ebay or marketplace.

If you can’t find a used set of mirrors already painted the color you want, just have a set painted by your favorite body shop. Shouldn’t cost too much.

I would not remove the carbon ceramic brakes, I am unsure of the carbon ceramic vs iron rotor wheel fitment differences but those brakes are a huge plus in my mind

65 mph average. Not bad! Some of those road have stated limits of 70 and 75. My first road trip in the vette averaged well over 80 in the first 600 miles…

OP - Before you change anything on your Z06 Z07, keep in mind that you have one of the best overall Z06 packages available, and your Z06 Vette, as it came from the factory with manual and Z07, is worth more than any other C7 except for a ZR1. Removing the CCBs (a pain, expensive, and destroys the Vette's value) should not be attempted before you do some serious soul-searching as to what you really want and is it worth it. In other words, do not do it!

I think this is good advice. You bought one of the top corvettes ever built. Don't destroy its legacy.
