Hey All! I'm trying to help a buddy install a Hot Licks Flamethrower kit on his C6 LS3. Was we tried wiring it into the fuse box into the "Red Wire" that goes to the Ignition Relay. Threw up a check code, and the button was like a "CEL Delete Tool." Every time you press it, the CEL goes away and doesn't start the car.
So I'm looking to see if there's any other way, since I also heard you need to splice both sides of the coil wiring together. Since they don't merge at the harness. PLEASE HELP!!!
Also don't want to waste any more time on his car lol
WTF is a "Hotwire Flamethrower" kit ??...if you have no basic electrical knowledge take the car to an electrical specialist...you're trying to splice into the coil pack wiring ??...go get your money back and invest into something more practical for your car...IMHO !!...you also don't want to be "splicing" into the ignition relay.
Next thread: My buddies car burned up last night. Insurance said "No way we'll cover it because of the mods you made to the car." So now we're gonna pull the crusty engine out and put it in a dune-buggy. How do we re-wire the whole buggy to run?
Also, would a turbo 400 trans fit on the buggy?
Got it figured out, was just a pain in the *** to find out that Coils from Bank 1 and Bank 2 don't go wire into one wire in the harness.
After all, on my car I wouldn't have it since it cuts the power to your coils, causing fuel to go through your exhaust and the spark igniting the excess fuel up.
But it's my friend's car, and I'm also trying to be nice for once lol :P
