Default Setting new Injectors into manifold LT1, error?

Hey so I recently bought Bosch III injectors from Fuel Injecor Connection for my LT1 96 vette, but wasn't sure how to properly install them.
I set them as far as they'd go into the fuel rail, but then they weren't "long" enough to fully set into the manifold. So while in the fuel rail and lined up with the manifold holes, I pulled each injector so they'd fit into the manifold. I can still see the rubber rings on the manifold side, they won't go in any further. But maybe I'm wrong?

My question is, was this aggressive enough ruin the O-rings that came with the new injectors? I'm deathly afraid of reconnecting the battery and starting a fire. If the seal was compromised, would the fuel still leak even without pressurizing the system? There was fuel in the rail, but it didn't leak earlier.

Last thing, I used dielectric grease to lube the rings and the ports in the manifold, was this ok?

Thanks

They generally ship those with a double O-ring on the lower side. Only the 1st O-ring actually gets pressed into the injector port on the manifold. The 2nd ring will just sit against the tapered opening at the port. That keeps the injector elevated to the same height as originals, for proper sealing at the rail & manifold. If you pushed both O-rings into the manifold, you went too far. Probly best to give FIC a call to clarify what you have, and see what their safety recommendations are. Better safe than burnt! 🍻
