Default Help - Which COA is best?

fellow connoisseurs help me decide which course of action is best...

So in my quest for a 2027 C8 Z06, I currently have two options.
First option: I have a deposit with MM, and I am # 331 on their list for a 2027. With an 8% discount off MSRP.
Second, I have a local dealer that says they will have an allocation, and I will be number 1 on their list, $2k nonrefundable deposit that they will collect at the time of order. But, there is no discount off MSRP.

Because I am new to this, I need your advice.

I am in no rush. Yes I want a Z07 with visible CF, so yes I expect to wait up to a year.

With those facts in mind, it seems MM is the best course of action?

Thanks in advance

Personally, I would stick with MM. They are the most likely to get what you want. where I live, the dealers suck and say they have allocation, but really don't or give up the allocation to the person that is going to pay above MSRP. MM is solid, honest and doesn't mess around for you. I would stick with MM regardless if I was in a rush or not.

8% off at MM is a great deal on a new 27 order….that said your place on the list is only one factor, what you are getting for options needs to be factored in. so..

Lets say you are #300 on the list, but you want the Z07, Carbon Fiber Aero package. MM may average 50 (I am making that number up) Z06 allocations a month, but they may only get 3 with CF Aero/Z07 a month…..the people on the list that are behind you that don’t want that option will move up and pass you by.
You should have an honest conversation with MM and ask them how many Z06/Z07 allocations the got last year and how many people on the list that are ahead of you also want that Z07 option….that is your real list (where do you stand on the Z06/Z07 CF Aero list).
in my example, if there are 70 people ahead of you that also want the Z07/Aero package you may not get you allocation this year…..taking this approch will give you a better Idea of where you really stand.

I lived through this 8 months ago….I was on the MM list for a 2026 Z06 with Aero and MM was not able to get me an allocation, my local dealer got one for me before MM could.

Save the 10k from the msrp discount and additional on monthly payment not made while waiting and have a better starting position financially, use the cash for mods, or a mix of both.

I personally wouldnt leave 10k plus on the table for a couple of months, where else will go get that quick and guaranteed of a return?

Yes, shortly after that comment, I sent my salesman an email. I don't know how accurate his list will be because I don't believe you declare your build until they get the allocation. Thus, there are many people on the list who have not yet decided/declared what they will build.

Nonetheless, his estimate will give me a good baseline.

You might be #331 but the people in front of you will move faster because they want other options. I got my Z06 from MM with exposed carbon and Z07 pkg and all the options I wanted. They are honest and reliable
