Default L98 Not Running Quite Right ? Delphi Injectors is the way to go

88 Z51, it was a neglected soul for 12 years, had a bad vibration, (turned out the engine was “rebuilt” and they didn’t balance the he RA.) After a proper rebuild and getting everything sorted out it still didn’t run right, something was off just a touch. Hard to explain, but something wasn’t right, pulled the plugs a couple of times after the rebuild and they looked perfect. Other than that it ran strong, but there was something bothering me. I installed a set of “rebuilt” Bosch3 injectors, ran decent but the engine would crank over for a long time when it was cold or fully hot. I had my original Lucas injectors “rebuilt” from FIC, and also had an issue with the CSI. Installed the Lucas injectors and thought it was all straightned out, but still didn’t run right.

Decided to drop the hammer about 3 months ago, and spend $500 on brand new set of Delphi injectors from FIC. Man…..my L98 runs as smooth as silk now. Starts right up every time hot/cold it doesn’t matter, runs like a bat out of hell, and it idles beautifully even with the AC on. If you can scrape up a few extra bucks, I’d say go for new.

I've installed 3 sets of those on my L98s. They work awesome and FIC is the place to go.
