Lt1 water pumps (1993) where on them does them do leaks start from?
Ive been getting a couple drops of coolants on the ground from the supercharged 1993 lt1
i re-used the OEM 96000 mile optispark when i swapped in the new forged 383 engine 2 yrs ago.
the coolant seems to pool around the waterpump mounting bolt hole (as shown)
the ‘weep hole’ and belts underneath it seem dry.
To me, it seems like more of a gasket sealing issue than a worn-out waterpump - but i still want to ask the forum where all you have seen leaks start from when your lt1 waterpump has gone bad
Also: if you do think its a bad pump
any recommendations of where to send the pump to get it rebuilt, or a replacement brand that works well is appreciated !
