Default Z06 Catback alone (no other exhaust mods) - Louder?

Looking to see if anyone has installed an aftermarket catback on their C8 Z06 without touching the cats / downpipes.

I know I won’t see any power gains, but I’d love to make the car loader without potentially voiding the warranty.

Curious who has done this, what the consensus is, and if you have any videos you can share.

Thanks!

yes....fabspeed titanium valvetronic cat back, stock cats. Valves work just like OEM. It's definitely louder than stock at all drive/valve settings. Has a bit of drone 2750-3000 rpm but goes away quickly above that. I'm happy and it's not too loud wide open for most race tracks with dB limits.

Thanks for the feedback. Is it noticeably louder than stock? That’s essentially what I would be aiming for - something fairly loud and more menacing on track setting. I know the power would be no different really. Looking for something louder that won’t void the warranty and that I can use my valves with to quiet it down when I need to.

It will be a little bit louder, but not much. Not like it is with the LT2 cars or like going with sport cats. For the Z06, when the valves are open it's about 95% a straight pipe already.

Also, if it has an X pipe, it will gain some power due to better scavenging. Fabspeed's show 16/17 HP/TQ.

Some people say its not that much louder, but I think its noticeable and a different tone from OEM.

We do a lot of the AWE for the z06, Corsa, Fabspeed and Soul as well.

Makes sense.

As soon as you change to high flow cats, if the motor pops, warranty is probably void, right?
