Default 2010 ZR1 Hood Removal?

My 2010 ZR1 appears to have water spots on the hood only. I’ve tried wax and several detailing products, but none of them worked. Any recommendations for removing the spots? Because the car has very low mileage, I’ve also considered removing the hood and taking it to a detailing shop for professional treatment. Would it be advisable to remove the hood, and are there any potential issues with doing so?

Wax would not typically remove water spots. Have you tried any of the various polishing compounds with a machine? I would try Meguiar's No. 2 and then follow up with No. 9 (2.0) Swirl Remover; I have used those successfully. In regard to removing the hood and taking it somewhere, how would you transport it and secure it? It will require at least two people to remove it, maybe three, not because of the weight, but because of the size and cumbersome maneuverability.
