More bass
I have not done any improvement, yet if experimenting, and with a budget,
I would start by adding sound deadening of the inside of the outer door panel, and
add some foam rings to the speaker mounting areas.
Great question, I look forward to our co-members responses and you
opinion once updated/
In my two C7s could set the controls with sufficient bass for 85% of the >1500 songs on the flash drive BUT too boomy for ~15%. Have to reduce volume or skip a song. Then someone found a way to set audio controls at different levels using the radio push buttons change on the fly! Worked great.
Don't know if that can work with the C8 as I find even my heavy bass songs play fine with my average sound control settings.
Here are some Pics:
For my to C7s use this approach to adjust Bass (actually can adjust any setting and remember.)
Before I labeled the keys with Bass Levell I just used "Tone." Can memorize/ recall any tone, position setting.
It's a multistep process to label the Keys whatever you like, limited to # Characters. This is a Doc as PDF if interested:

For my current Street Rod, with it's set back engine and front seats; Tubbed rear for 16.5 section width tires, no room for rear seat so made what I call a "sound wall." One large amp powers the subwoofer, the other the two mid rage speakers. The radio amp powers the four small, essentially twitters. Frankly all selected more for appearance at car shows! Included a multiple CD player (It was built in 2000 so fit the times!) All operated with remote controls.

.Back to my original point. I was thinking about using the JL 10W0v3s. They are shallow-mount subs that I’ve seen shops put in the doors. But like anything else, it’s hard to tell how improved the sound would be over a video.
You can replace the door woofers (which act as shallow-mount subwoofers) in a C8 Corvette. You will need to use shallow-mount 10-inch aftermarket subwoofers, install custom brackets, and add an aftermarket amplifier to properly power them.
Key Considerations Before Upgrading
- Space Constraints: The C8 door cavity is highly restricted. You must carefully measure mounting depth and use slim-profile subwoofers (e.g., Pioneer Z series).
- Factory DSP: The 14-speaker Bose system relies heavily on Digital Signal Processing (DSP) tailored specifically to the factory drivers. Replacing just the speakers can result in a flat, muddy sound unless you integrate an aftermarket amplifier and DSP.
- No Headunit Replacement: You cannot replace the factory infotainment system without bricking your vehicle, so all audio upgrades must tie into the existing system.
- Remove the Door Panel: Accessing the speaker requires carefully prying off the door trim and removing the T30 screws to pop the panel free.
- Install Brackets & Subwoofers: Because factory speaker rings often need to be removed, you will need to build or buy custom brackets to securely mount the new 10-inch shallow woofers.
- Add Dampening: Applying sound deadening (like Dynamat) in the door is highly recommended to prevent unwanted vibrations and panel rattling.
- Wire the Amplifier: You will need to route power and speaker wiring to an aftermarket amplifier (could be mounted in the Frunk) to push enough power to your new subwoofers.
