my 2012 GS has about 55k miles and suddenly doesn't pull past 4k. It will still gain rpms, but not really pulling hard and you can tell something is wrong.
No error codes at all. Pulled the three abs fuses to see if it was the active handling but it was the same result. Tried searching the forum.
thanks in advance guys. Tom
Just to makes sure, you aren't testing this in park/neutral are you? There is a rev limit set to prevent damage. That could also be a culprit, that switch could have failed and the ECU thinks it's in neutral. The others should throw a code but a bad cat might not but it would have to building a lot of back pressure to cause what you are seeing.
When was the last time you cleaned your throttle body and MAF sensor? Us the proper cleaners, on the MAF sensor use the specific MAF sensor spray cleaner. Try this firt and see what happens.
I know you said you didn't get any codes showing up, but just as a fluke you may want to check the fuel pump fuse to see if it is getting sketchy making intermittant contact. I did a post a while ago after getting stranded.
