The check transmission light came on at 7300 mi, so had that done along with an oil change. Since then, the car doesn't seem to be shifting as smooth as it used to. Hard to describe, shifts are rougher, tend to slap into gear as opposed to smoothly engaging.
I plan on bringing it back to the dealer, just curious if anyone else has experienced this?
I wonder if they did the flush procedure during the filter swap and it caused some debris to get released into the fluid and ended up clogging the valve body or a solenoid? Should be shifting the same.

Take it back and have them do a TCM Relearn. After they do this, don't pay the $200 they will try to charge you. This is supposed to be completed and included with the DCT filter change.

What do you mean "check transmission light"? If you have a later model, then you have a DTC filter life system. When you are due for the filter change you should get a message on the DIC that says REPLACE TRANSMISSION OIL FILTER SOON (at least thats what the manual says the message will say). Is that what you got? If instead you actually got a check engine light (its actually a malfunction indicator light or MIL), then you have a different problem.

This had me confused as well.
Sounds sort of like the owner thought the MIL was for the filter change, took the car in for that and they did not diagnose the DTC that tripped the MIL.
