Ozarks Raceway in the 70th Z06 (Pic heavy)
Had a great weekend recently at a Chin event at Ozarks International Raceway. If you ever get a chance to go, it's an amazing track, I highly recommend it. Ended up doing my personal best (2:47) running on PS4S tires that were at about 2/32nds at the end of the weekend. Car is bone stock with CCBs. I've now run 24 Z06 (iron rotors), 25 E-Ray and (current) 23 70th Z06 (CCBs) at the same track, with the same spec tires. The ER is definitely the easier car to drive, but not ultimately as fast. The Z06 is much more of an "event" (both on track and the street). I ended up using auto for the transmission this time (I was manually shifting the previous 24 Z06, and auto in the ER), and honestly, I think that's where most of my gain came from.

It is, honestly, the best track I've ever been on. It's constantly moving with tons of elevation changes. Even the straights aren't straight due to all the elevation changes. Topping the crest on the "roller coaster" straight at 135-140 can be kind of crazy as the car gets really light.
Think about how many 70ths that have been condemned to live in a collection, accumulating zero miles, let alone laps on a track. It's always awesome to see performance cars being used to their potential.
WOW!
Very cool thanks for sharing!
Track looks like a blast with all the elevation changes.
Watching the video you seem to have the same driving style as me. More corner speed guy.
"Decent track layout" is an understatement. Much like Evan said, it is a homerun of a layout. In MANY ways it's my favorite. Haven't been there since '24, but headed back in July. Previously in the '19 GS I stayed planted once over the "rollercoaster"... Never again.

Ehh, I tend to think the slow corners are my worst sections and that I'm only moderately good on faster corners. Of course, we're always our own worst critics.

Yeah, about the last crest on the rollercoaster. I had forgotten the bump on the apex (right at the cone on the right at the crest), and hit it doing about 135MPH. The guy behind me caught it on video and there was air under my rear tires. Was definitely a high-pucker factor moment as the car was out of sorts coming down. After that, I remembered to stay about 4' off that cone where it's much smoother!
