Since When Does The Bottom Of A Ac/Delco Oil Filter Come Plastic Wrapped
I just got a new PF64 for my GS and the bottom is wrapped in plastic. I also use the PF61 for my Cadillac and never seen it there either. Granted I haven't bought one in about a year but I found this odd. Did I get a fake or is this becoming the new norm.

I must have looked at 10 others on e-bay and not one looked like the one I got. The label is different but the big thing is it only has 6 holes in it. Every other one I seen has at least 8. Returning it.

Changed mine out on my C7 in February and bought the filter at Walmart. No plastic on the bottom like that.

So many stores sell OEM filter, I buy at Walmart they always have the best price along with their oil.

I bought the OEM oil filter from AutoZone and it came with the plastic cover on it. It was in a box too. It is hard to find that filter because it is used in so many other GM cars. I had gone to several auto parts stores. A few days later, I bought an oil filter at my Chevy dealer and it didn’t come in a box. That’s because they get the filters in by the case. I buy most of my oil at Walmart. It’s just that several people have been shot in the parking lot of the Walmart closest to me.
