Default Torque tube removal
2002 z06. Can I remove the torque tube without removing transmission completely engine is out of car already? I’m hoping I can just move the transmission back enough to get the tube out ?

No. You drop the cradle first, then drop the transaxle with the torque tube as an assembly.

This is how far you'll need to move it if you have a manual transmission.

Did you say the engine is out? If so I would think you could unbolt the torqu tube from the trans and push in forward without fully dropping the trans??
