Well folks, I have put my Cup2R's back on for street use here in CA for the spring/summer season, and WOW, while the PS4S is a great tire that punches way above its 300TW rating weight class (closer to a 200TW in grip), going back to the Cup2R's just brings the car back up to the next level, especially on my Z07 equipped car.
That race car quickness has returned and the more direct nature of the tires is immediately noticeable. I know you track guys hate them for a short life span and you street guys who are in rainy/cold climates hate them, but here in CA with average spring/summer temps in the 70s and no rain, they are amazing as summer season tires that offer a race car feel.
I am most definitely sold on running both the PS4S and Cup2R's for their respective targeted seasons. WIN/WIN
hello, how much if a ride quality improvement are the PS4S in touring mode? Thanks!
That's hard to answer because tire pressures play a role here too. I run a little less pressures in the Cup2Rs than I do the PS4S, so ride quality is similar. The PS4S though start off with more tread, which offers a more plush feel, but that also means more tread squirm until broken in.
