I am building a 65 diff now. This one has been worked on before, there was an old set of Richmond 4 series 411 gears in it when it came in.
However, there is something a little different about this one, anyone see anything?
The housing is dated March 1964 and was an original 411 diff. Stamped AP - 327 with 411
Just a note about this. The right cap was not used on a 65, at least none of the many 65's I built. I cannot say for sure it didn't come from the factory like this but chances are the cap was replaced. While it was a close fit, I did in fact refit it for the correct fitment. The caps are both fine and no one is going to open a diff to judge caps. Just something that wasn't right that I picked up.
