Default DCT Maaintenance after valve body replacement

I have about 6000 miles on my DCT and the valve body is being replaced. I as panning on replacing the filter between 7 and 8 thousand miles, but that does make a lot of sense if the dealer replaces the filter with the new valve body. It makes more sense to me to restart the 7500 mile clock on the filter replacement.

Can anyone that had their valve body replaced the share the maintenance requirements the dealer provided.i am assuming they always replace the external filter when the valve body is replaced. Is this a bad assumption? If they reuse the existing filter it would make more sense to continue the existing scheduled replacement.

I was also just shy of 6K miles when the valve body was replaced under drivetrain warranty in my DCT (2021 HTC), little over a year ago. Paperwork showed dealer replaced both filters on mine. I'm now sitting just shy of 8K and outside the drivetrain warranty period now. With all fresh fluid at the time as well, I agree, it seems a giant waste of money to turn around an replace it all a year and only ~2K miles later.

If your car is still within the warranty period, you will be expected to change the filter at 7500 + or - 500, to keep the warranty, even if they do the filter with the valve body repair at the current 6000 miles.
Repairs do not change the maintenance intervals.

Filter change is not difficult DIY job. I do mine ever spring with the oil change. First time was 4,000k miles, second was by GM @ just under 7,500 miles. Third will be next spring doubt I'll have enough miles to need an oil change before then.
