How could I black out white lettering on new tires? I was thinking a black magic marker or maybe black shoe polish.

All you have to do is turn them around so the white letters face backwards.

If you look at the picture the white lettering is on the inside and still looks like crap.

I own a fenderless '32 ford and I like T/A radials. I don't like RWL, so I run them black out and use black enamel on the RWL. works great!

Funny, I bought these for mine because I like the "back then" look. They come with a blue protective coating and I was thinking that didn't look bad against the blue car.

Paint pens work way better than Sharpies. Although Sharpie makes paint pens. I use them at work. Sharpies on paper fade quickly in the sun. Paint pens last for years. They hold up better than the paper.

On white walls I sprayed them with SEM satin black vinyl paint. On letters a black sharpie pen with urethane black paint would work well but slower.

The paint pens I posted come in blue too. Just in case you’d like to try it. I thought it might look good on my car too.

Thanks Joe! Might look into that.
Nice looking C-3! Came close to buying one at Carlisle one year, wife saw a blue '75 in the parking lot going in and loved it. There was a twin in the "for sale" corral, and we considered getting it for her but didn't pull the trigger.
