[C2] Too good not to share

As the continuing story of my 67’ convertible goes on I discovered something that should be passed on to others on the forum. Cleaning old interior pieces, the results, can be challenging at best. Now understand I have Red interior thats been ignored for at least 30 years. I was looking at my sun visors, which are off the car, thinking they are stained and dirty and need to be replaced. I looked online, and without a sale going on, the venders are asking $185.00 for a pair. Yikes 😳. A detailer buddy of mine told me about a product that was cheap and effective at cleaning even stubborn stains and mung off of interior surfaces. With nothing to lose but a few bucks and my time, I decided to give it a try. To say the results, in my opinion, were stunning is an understatement. See my before and after pictures and judge for yourself. Now the visors are not perfect but after saving that kind of money, they’re definitely not going to be replaced anytime soon. The 1 gallon cleaning product only cost me $3.00. He said it was the best kept secret in his line of work.
One clean and one not. I forgot to take a picture of both before I started
The other side of the dirty one.
Half and half. What a difference.
Both finished. Took less than 20 minutes to clean.
Some slight dark staining on one but looks worse in the pictures then it actually is.
This is the $3.00 wonder. On the west coast you can buy it a Dollar General stores.
I used this to put some protection on and it also added a soft shine to the finish.
My Seats and door panels look about the same amount of grungy. Can’t wait to try it on them next. I experienced no blotchiness or color fade and I used the product at full strength. I hope this helps others in the same situation.
