Had a great top down ride yesterday with my son under a beautiful Georgia blue sky. When we got home I opened up the glove box to put my shades in and the latch broke right off in my hand. To top it off while trying to rig the box closed I knocked the passenger visor mirror and it broke completely off the visor except for the wire for the light.
A double whammy of broken cheap original plastic.
Very frustrating. I got some velcro and attached the folding mirror back on and rigged the box to shut with string. Both the mirror and glovebox lights are also rigged off so the battery won't drain.
I ordered the glovebox latch off Amazon, but want to shop around for the visor.
Any suggestions or comments on which visors are good aftermarket to buy and installing them ? The glove box latch seems simple enough to change out.
Any comments or advice ?
I didn't break my visor but recently deleted them all together. RPI has a kit or get 3d printer instructions from the net. The visors were useless for my size. Cheers
The Amazon glove box latch is cheap garbage. It does the job but frustrating to close and will allow the door to rattle.
The visor is super simple to change. Many good how to videos on utube. Topflight and several others have good quality replacement visors. Hopefully it was the passenger side or at least thar you don't have the built in garage door remote. That increases the price of the drivers side dramatically.
