I have an OEM ignition switch that I do not have a key so I can remove the lock cylinder. I am sure it is not simple to do so I was thinking maybe some on here might know a locksmith that has a master key that could remove the cylinder for me.
Thanks for any suggestions.
Just jam it with a screwdriver and turn it to the left while pressing the hole wth a paper clip.
locksmith will be the cost of a new ignition switch.
lock cylinders with keys are cheap. get matching cylinders for glovebox, door, and spare tire lock.
If you are not going to reuse the lock cylinder, you can use a 1/4" drill to drill the lock cylinder to the depth of the key. I pry the SS cover off first, but you don't have to.
