A chunk of concrete or something solid in the road contacted this underbody panel brace. At first I thought it was the fuel tank cover plate, but it looks like it's this painted aluminum(?) panel.
Is that replaceable, trimmable, or would a body shop need to repair it? It seems to have a combination of things including chassis adhesive attaching it.
I wish it was the fuel tank skid plate behind it, they are ~$30 on ebay and 30min work to replace.
Any information about what it is would be helpful. If nothing else, I can reshape it back into place so it won't contact anything else in the road and coat it in paint/sealant.
Geeez, from the looks of it, you are lucky you didn't tear something off the car. It looks like it's all spot welded in place. It needs a little percussion maintenance. Vice grips and hammers.
