Is there an easy way to hook up a fuel pressure tester on a 67 427 with the Tri Power carbs? I have a pressure tester, but the fittings are all about 1/2 size of the fuel line. Headed to the auto parts store in the morning... Hoping it doesn't take 5 trips to find the correct adapter. Nothing in my kit looks like these flare fittings.
I would buy anther pump to carb line and cut it in half to add your gauge and install the line to check it and then swap it back out. Seems it's going to be a PITA no matter what you do
I would disconnect the front carburetor at the tee. That will leave you with a 3/8" inverted flare female connection open so a 3/8" male inverted flare to hose barb fitting should get you there. Looking at my crystal ball since you didn't provide much to go on, I would say your gauge fittings are 1/4". You can leave the front carburetor disconnected during your test. You should probably do a volume test while you are at it ---- and have a fire extinguisher handy.

Thanks to you both! I really appreciate these answers. I am not used to working on big high HP engines. Trying to help dad get his new toy working correctly. I'm going to head out to the parts store tomorrow morning and see shat fittings and lines they have. I was hoping there was a flex line coming out of the pump I could tie into, but I quickly learned there wasn't. If they don't have a 3/8" male inverted flare fitting I will look for some 3/8" line flare it myself and attach a rubber hose to the end for the gauge.
I stand there with a fire extinguisher in hand and two others at my side every time we are testing it! So many fuel leaks from the carbs.
Dad has replaced the float needles and it is still puking gas from the vent in the center carb like a drinking fountain after you shut it off. There is gas dripping in the front and rear carbs when you shut it off too. He's thinks they might have changed to an incorrect fuel pump that is overpowering the needle and seat. Was hoping there was a quick way to test the pressure to rule out that.
I have a feeling something is messed up with the float systems. When we first took it apart you could tell that someone has "been through" the carbs right before we got it, but only selectively replaced gaskets and o-rings. Never worked on a C2 or an engine this big, but obviously basic stuff wasn't done correctly when it was gone through. Lots of little things I keep noticing like holes in vacuum lines, wrong bushings in the linkage, screws all messed up... Can just tell it wasn't done carefully.
