I know the c1 fuel gauge issue has been discussed many times. I did the brown wire removal and the fuel gauge went to full. When I grounded it, the gauge styed in the full position. Does this mean that the gauge is at fault?
did you ground the wire at the sender end of the wire, or at the gage itself? if not at the gage, try it there before condemning the gage. Could be a break in the wire somewhere.
... and even grounding the sender wire at the gauge isn't quite conclusive because the gauge itself must also be grounded. Never assume anything is grounded on a Corvette.
