Hi there,
I installed an AGM battery in my 2010 GS a couple of years ago. I just installed an AGM battery in my 1981 C3. I use a battery tender on both, but never has the light turned green indicating fully charged. The battery in the C3 is a week old and I still cannot get a green light after 3 days of charging. Is this normal? Thanks!
AGM batteries rest at a higher baseline voltage when fully charged and require a higher voltage to charge then wet cell batteries so your tender may not put out enough voltage to reach a full charge. A fully charged AGM should be at 12.8 to 13.0 volts after disconnecting charger for 2 hours a wet cell should be 12.6 to 12.7 volts and charging voltage for the AGM is 14.6 to 14.8 and the wet cell is 14.4 to 14.6. You might be at 98 to 99% and not get a green light. The best way to check is with a volt meter. Good luck
