I would appreciate some help. My 2015 Corvette extended warranty is expiring and when I went to the dealer and requested an extension I was told my car is "too old". I spoke to my local mechanic and he cautioned that if I get one shop carefully. He stated that if I get a warranty any time he has to spend "negotiating" with the warranty company will be billed to me and he further cautioned that he will not deal with Car Shield as he personally found it to time consuming. I would appreciate any suggestions from the community on your personal experiences with the company you dealt with. Much Thanks
Dennis
It is to old for a GM Platinum Extended Warranty. I believe they at at 2018 now.
My local Chevrolet Dealership had a plan they sell. They do good work and I almost bought it. Then, I found out the GMPP Platinum Extended Warranty, at the time, was Extended to cover my 2016, a couple of years ago. I went with it.
If the dealer sells it, it might be less trouble if something goes wrong. Just read the fine print. jmho.

I have the Hendrick Autogard extended warrant on a 2016 Stingray. Hendrick Autoguard Mechanical Repair Service Contracts (their extended warranties) are sold exclusively through Hendrick Automotive Group dealerships. I have no idea what state you are in but Hendrick operates dealerships in 13 states (Alabama, California, Florida, Georgia, Kansas, Missouri, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and a couple of others based on current listings). They will put extended warranties on GM vehicles under 12 yrs old and under 150,000 miles.

I have an Endurance warranty on my 2014. Unfortunately (or fortunately depending on how you look at it), I have not had any claims or dealings with their customer support team. They do take monthly payments - I have a 48 month plan and you pay for the first 30 months then the last 18 months are payment free.
Be careful using Endurance or Carshield, some shops do not accept them as a form of payment because of the hassle involved with getting paid. Check with your repair shop before you buy one of these policies

About twice a year for five years, I receive a letter from Endurance telling me to “act now” to avoid a rate increase on a Stingray. The most recent letter arrived this week and referred to a Stingray that I no longer have. I traded it for another Stingray in March 2025. I have never done any business with Endurance.
My question is: How did Endurance know I did actually own a 2018 Stingray at one point?
Does the Chevy dealership tell them? County treasurer’s office? State Dept. of Motor Vehicles?
As long as your covered under Endurance or Car Shield. Most dealers will document the work and send the bill to those warranty companies. You can still go to a dealer and use car shield.

Will either of them allow you to file a claim? I guess if I was hard up and had to use that particular independent that doesn't have the time to file paperwork, maybe I could pay cash and file a claim with the warranty company? I mean, what would they expect you to do if you broke down in some city where there was no coverage? IDK.
