NCM Delivery: Best Bowling Green shop for immediate Z07 tire swap?
Hey everyone,
Taking Museum Delivery on a new Z06/Z07 soon and driving it straight back to Texas. I need to swap the factory Cup 2 R tires out for Michelin Pilot Sport 4S immediately after delivery so I can hit the highway.
Two quick questions for those who have done this:
1. Which specific BG shop do you recommend? Looking for an exact location/tech with a touchless leverless machine (Hunter Revolution) who can guarantee a quick 2-hour turnaround so I don’t have to stay overnight. Is Campbell Chevy the move, or an independent shop?
2. Best way to unload the factory Cup 2Rs locally? I do not want to ship the take-offs back to Texas. Has anyone had success selling them to a local BG buyer on delivery day, or having the shop ship them directly to a forum buyer?
Appreciate the local recommendations and logistics tips. Want to get on the road to Texas fast!
I haven’t had any tires installed there, but I drive 2 hrs to Campbell Chevrolet for all of my maintenance on my C8 Z06 and have always had great service there.
There are many dealerships closer, but I have never heard any negative comments about Campbell.

Just FYI, the Cup 2 R’s are not terrible road tires. We drove home from our R8C to California without changing them out. Only issue was in CA when we encountered a heavy rain storm for about 25 miles. Car would “hydro-plane’” at any speed over 54 MPH. Followed a Box Truck at 54 with the 4way hazards going and it did just fine. Trip was approximately 3K miles. Once home, we swapped out the OEM wheels/Cup 2 R’s for Forgedlite wheels and S4S’s. OEM/Cup 2’s used only for Auto X/HPDE’s. Just a thought.

Appreciate the input, will have to think about it.
I would be concerned about rain - regardless I am planning to switch the tires sooner or later, so thought why not do it right away.
Unless you are just trying to sell the CUP tires as new, there is very little to prevent you from driving back to Texas on them.
Thanks for the input.
Selling them new will definitely make them more appealing to buyers. I also don’t want to drive in the rain with the CUPs.
I will switch them for sure, so might as well do it right away.
