I have the Continentals. I am very happy with them. I previously had Michelin Pilot Super Sports, but Michelin has phased them out of favor of their newer cup tires which are not available in stock sizes.
I'm making 500bhp, and find that the Continental Extreme Contact Sport 02 hooks fairly well and holds on in the turns. This may not matter to you, but I also found the Continentals perform extremely well in wet driving conditions. I can definitely recommend them.
However, my overall tire reccomendation would depend on how you primarily use your car. What goals do you have for the car? Are you stock or modified?
I have been using NITTO 555G2's on the Vette and the Mustang and love them. Good grip and wear pretty good as well. The stock tires that came on the Mustang when I got it were those Conti's and I can't say anything bad about them but when I bought my new rims, I put the Nitto's on them because I just like them.
IMO, both will perform about the same, regular street driving, you won’t notice a difference between the two. I would probably choose the cheaper of the two. I’m always looking for a deal, I also like the wider tires, it’s just a personal preference.
After years of Pilot Sport runflats I installed Michelin Pilot Sport All Seasons Non Run Flat - totally different car. The absence of tire and road noise is amazing. Handles awesome. Should have done years ago.

I've had those tires for the past four years and just put on a new set last week. I couldn't agree with you more! Outstanding tires.
