Default American racing Torq Thrust 15x8.5 fitment

Hi everyone

I have a 77 with OEM fender flares. Running 255 60 R15 on all sides.
I want to order the American racing Torq Thrust D wheels:
- VN1055861B
- SATIN BLACK W/ MACHINED LIP
- 15x8.5"
-
5X120.65
- Backspace 3.77
- Offset -25mm

I did a post some time ago, and forummember 'Golfobsessed' was very helpfull to post some pictures of his 82.

1) Do these wheels stick out the wheel wells? (I want to be 100% sure because I don't live in the USA, and can not 'test fit'.)
The 'Federal car inspection' is quite strict regarding 'wheels sticking out'.

2) Are the fender flares of a 77 and 82 the same?

They do stick out a bit... I personally like the look but thats my preference, here is the most side view I have of my 70 on my phone (had these wheels on 2 other C3s) tires are 245-60s

I can take more pics or vid later if needed

Hope this helps

Maybe no help but I ran on my 71 C3 18" TT2's. 8" in the front and 9" in the rear. Tucked in nicely. I'm guessing you can get similar back spacing in a 15"
Pic of the 71.
Another pic of my current 80 Camaro project with TT2's only as polished. Same sizes as the C3.
Nice part about the gray center wheels they are clear coated so easy clean up. The polished wheels need work a couple times a summer.
