I have a 2001 c5 z06 with a btr stage 3 v2 cam kit in it, I got it tuned multiple times and it feels great now, no misfiring and power feels sufficient, my only problem is my cam has a decent lift duration but for some reason my idle is super jumbled and doesnt have any rhythm to it, it idles at around 900 to 950 rpm and my tuner said if I drop the idle itll sound worse, I have hp tuners and have tried messing with the tune but I just cannot get that low idle choppy rhythm going at all, is there anything I might be able to adjust to achieve this choppy idle?my cam specs are 227/24x .636"/.636" 111.5LSAand its a btr stage 3 v2Thanks in advance
The only way to know is to try. 900-950 is a little odd, it would be interesting to see how it behaves at 750 or so.
If by "rhythm" you mean that you want it to constantly alternative between slightly slower and slightly faster, you might be able get that effect by reducing / removing the airflow corrections when RPM isn't too low. My car would do the pulsing RPM thing when those corrections were disabled (it took me a while to figure out idle tuning).
