I have a c7 Z51 2016. We've put on an Xpipe and removed the muffler. But for some reason when you drive the car really hard for like an hour the engine lights start flashing and then rear axle service pops up and the car goes into limp mode. Any idea what we have to do?
Fix the misfire. When the engine is misfiring, the eLSD rear axle electronics can't work properly due to the engine problem, so they set a Service Rear Axle code telling you to fix the engine problem. It's pretty simple: bad inputs result in bad outputs, so the electronic rear axle system is shut down until the problem is resolved. There are a number of codes like that in Automotive Systems, they tell you I am not operating properly, but I am operating correctly, however, the message I am receiving from another module is incorrect.
Run the car, scan with obd2 in mode6 after a bunch of misfires, find out what cylinder is misfiring.
Swap plugs and wires to another cylinder, do the above again.
If the misfire follows the plugs / wires, theres your answer.
If the misfire stays, probably an injector.
Assuming there isnt other more serious cylinder issues.
I had the same issue, ended up being an injector, (non modified)
If the issue started right after you did the parts change, scrap everything i said, no idea.

You have a cat damaging misfire so you want to fix it ASAP...other than changing plugs and wires will have little success diagnosing this without some equipment and knowledge...seek out a diagnostic shop in your area if you can find one.
Like the others have posted, you need to get a code scanner or have them scanned for you to see where the issues are, you are just guessing & replacing parts if you don't
