I bought an A pillar weatherstrip to replace the old one that looked bad from Ecklers and on the sides the windows do not seal it as good as the last. Water gets in down that channel now and I’m looking to get it replaced. Does anyone have recommendations for good quality?
that’s what I thought as well. I looked at their website and the only review is the same kind of issue I had with mine. So idk if he just installed it incorrectly or what the issue was. The one I got was cheaper so I understand it leaking but I don’t think he could have installed it incorrectly to make it leak. I’ve only heard good things other than that review I saw. That’s what I was most likely going to get but second guessed myself after that review.
My car is low mileage and garage kept its entire existence. Currently only has 27k miles on the clock and is bone stock with a couple of minor exceptions. I caught a rock a couple months ago on the front glass and I just recently had my windshield replaced and my car had the original weatherstripping on it. The glass company replaced it with a cheap aftermarket weatherstripping piece and the wind noise was horrible/noticeably loud and when I drove it to the office the next day I got caught in a downpour and it leaked at both A pillars, whereas prior to the new glass, it did neither. Long story short, I purchased the Corvette Rubber Co windshield weatherstrip and had the glass company do it again (yes they put in a second new windshield) but use the Corvette Rubber Co weatherstripping and its now back to the way it was....no wind noise and no leaking. My point is definitely go with the Corvette Rubber Co product. For what its worth, I can't speak to the one negative review you saw, but I have also replaced the hatch area weatherstripping with Corvette Rubber Co product....the best weatherstripping you can get for your Vette...worth the added cost for a quality made product.
Another vote for Corvette Rubber Company. When I replaced the A Pillar on my 95 it fit perfect. The one negative review you saw was most likely from someone that didn't install it properly and/or didn't clean the channels properly.
Below are pictures of my before and after install. You can see the mess PO made on a prior A Pillar install. They used a lot of sealant in all the channels which made a mess for me to prep for the new one. After cleaning all the channels the Corvette Rubber Company installed perfectly with zero sealant
Mess I had to deal with'
New with use of zero sealant;

yes looks like I will go with that. Do you have any pictures of the bottom end of the weatherstripping. Towards the door hinge but on the windshield just to get a picture of how it should line up. Thanks for all the info
