Default Pet Peeve With Navigation

I'm not inclined to use the navigation system. It's much easier to look up an address on Google Maps before I leave the house and memorize what I need when I have to find an address. I don't have data. Well, I must have made a mistake when I looked up an address today resulting in me needing to resort to using the nav system in the car. So, I figured out how to input the address and I proceed as directed but the sound of the voice slowly disappeared. It got to a point where I could no longer hear the direction prompts.. I check the internet and it says that when the radio is on, the volume **** controls the radio volume. When a voice prompt is audible, the volume **** controls the nav voice volume. That's retarded.

What if there is a situation where the voice volume has been lowered so low that it become inaudible? How are you supposed to increase the volume of a voice command that you are unable to hear?

I did not read anything about controlling or adjusting the voice command volume anywhere in the menu.

Having the ability to control or adjust the voice command volume somewhere in the menu would be helpful.

Or, am I missing something?

You are missing something. The audio is in the Navigation menu screen. When, I have the top down, I turn it up, so, Ican hear it. When, it is up, I turn it down.

You are also missing directions in the HUD. I do not know how many times I have missed something in the road watching the HUD.

If you have kept up with the updates, it has shown me shortcuts that are not mentioned on WAZE. I run both.

If you want to change the prompt volume while using the Nav display, click on the Menu button in the lower right corner (click on the upper or lower edge of the display if the menu button isn't being displayed), select Navigation Voice Preferences then Voice Volume.

You can look for information by downloading the owner's manual stickie at the top of the forum. Then search on your computer.

Hey man, thanks for a clear and concise answer I figured that there HAD TO BE somewhere in the menu to change the volume of the voice prompt but I couldn't find it. Thanks also for the reference to the owner's manual stickie at the top of the forum. I did not know that was there. Good to know. I appreciate you.
