What electric headlight do you guys like best and why
I have a 69 and am tired of the vacuum headlight not working good. I had a Ebay set of my 70 and it worked good. So I am going to swap out to electric and I would like to know who uses what and why
Get the same one you had on your 70.I installed the $100 kit off EBay. Works as it should. Some guys on here will bash this inexpensive kit and push for a members high dollar kit. The choice is yours though

I also have one of those $100 kits. I bought it some years ago when they costing $200. Anyhow they work great and I like that the output arm is flush with the motor, more inline keeping the heavy headlight assembly asserting additional force that kits with long offset output shafts place on the Headlight Actuator supports. Just how I see it.

Don't forget cutting/hacking up your headlight support - running wires not rated for underhood use (SAE J-1128) to the dimmer switch, taking apart the linkage and zero tech support.

I vote for the member's set up. Lots of reasons but the main one is customer service. IF you have an issue, who you gonnna call? You might not have a problem, as some have said. But I always get a laugh out of the guys who saved a few bucks and couldn't get it to work. They come on here and guess who answers their questions. He walked me thur this mod a long time ago and I appreciate that service.
I went with Richard’s headlight conversion because the quality of the components he uses are what I want on my car.
My kit sat on my shelf for a number of years before I installed it.
I called Richard with a question regarding the installation and he ended up sending me his new updated parts to use with my older kit even though the older components would have worked perfectly, he wanted his best components used in the installation.
Everything in my kit fit perfect without cutting or modifying any of my original parts.
I have Richards kit and have met Richard and can't say anything but great things about his kit and him, and his willingness to help with any installation or other problems. Not averse to saving money, but his kit and accessibility was worth it!

How does one go about acquiring one of those kits? Finding more information? Tia.
