Pop, yes, I may have to settle for an aftermarket. Would you please check your stash and confirm you do have the part. Also put a price on it. 217 971 7183 if you want to talk .
If Pop does not have what you want there is an aftermarket one made by Lempco currently on ebay for $70 https://www.ebay.com/itm/204886956358?
Also GM for $130 on ebay https://www.ebay.com/itm/167579470109?
There were a number of aftermarket suppliers back in the day, Eaton, ARA, Remco and others but I do not know part numbers.
Also to slow frictional wear from the cup, be sure to apply molybdenum disulfide powder to the diaphragm on the cup side during assembly. The MolyKote Type Z specified in the service manual is insanely expensive. Maybe Pop can relay what he used on the diaphragm. I used something similar to this https://www.ebay.com/itm/125869690520?

I’ve not gotten to the storage unit, but I do hav an aftermarket one here in my garage. Since Vitaminemopar chimed in, the EBay prices he shows are bargains. I’ve never seen one under $100.
Thanks, every one! Valve is ordered from Texas, should arrive June 22. It is aftermarket, not NOs G M. So far ( years rather then months) have had NO luck getting A C to work with STV eliminator for any length of time, so trying to go back to a working (if there is in fact such a thing) STV. If anyone has any words of advice please, please chime in with your path to success with an STV that works and keeps on working. I am going nuts over this project, there must be an answer somewhere. In case someone in the future reads this, Doctor Rebuild was supposed to have a piston and diaphragm kit but I was unable to make contact. Not sure what is going on with him.
You may have to convert over to using a Pilot Operated Absolute valve(POA) as used on the 67-72 systems. I have not done this so I do not have specifics. I do know that it must be adjusted for using the refrigerant in your system, R12 vs R134. The POA is known to be generally more reliable than the STV. Unless you are going for NCRS appearance the aftermarket ones can be used. If this interests you, make contact with member Powershift as he may have more details than I have.
