Problems with the carbon fiber dashboard replacement

Today I replaced the plastic dashboard with the OEM carbon fiber one, and everything went well except for the climate control *****:
The one that adjusts the temperature is a little harder to turn than before, but the one that controls the fan speed is much harder to turn—as if the dashboard were thicker and the **** were hitting it. If I move it back a little, it turns normally.

Has anyone else on the forum had a similar problem?

Trim the backside of the **** to have it rotate freely.

Seems the dash piece may be slightly bent/bowed?

Thanks for the help! At first glance, it looks straight, but it seems a little thicker than the dashboard, and that might be the problem.

I'll have to trim it a little, then, even though I was a little scared to touch it!

I wouldn't trim the dash. I would simply trim the backside of the plastic **** instead. Those are probably cheap and easy to replace.

I would also make sure the push in tabs are pushed all the way in. Go around the infotainment screen and push the 3 pins.
