For sale is an NOS GM 3797115 transverse hood latch release cable & sheath; for 63-67 & early 68 (yes, it’s also correct early ‘68!). This is the cable that runs along the top of the firewall in the engine compartment, connecting the two female hood latches. This is a nice example, although the GM packaging has seen better days. If I were you I would slide out the inner cable, do a couple of passes with steel wool, clean it with acetone, then lightly lube it. This authentic GM cable will last the lifetime of your car.
To give you an idea of value, there a used cable with bent ends currently on eBay listed for $105. NOS examples on eBay typically list for between $140 and $200, plus shipping, plus tax. I’m selling this NOS example for $100 + $15 shipping = $115 total. Ground shipping to the lower 48 states only. Payment via PayPal.
