I need to purchase a C2 transmission tunnel insulator. Every vendor now ships a C3 modified insulator. Ecklers picture shows the correct configuration. I’ve spoken through text with their sales agent that their part is exactly as pictured and he confirmed it. I am tempted to order, but am skeptical their part is different from any other major vendor. I don’t want the return hassle game, so wondering if someone could put eyes (picture) of their item?
I would give call to the experts when it comes to C2 Corvettes, I have there link below, been dealing with them decades and lot of friends and they know Corvettes.
The Owner is Tommy and if you get to speak to him tell him Sandy from America's Corvette Club, recommends me to you.
Eckler's Titusville operation was closed about 1 1/2-2 years ago, shortly after they were bought by Turn 5. Eckler's parts now are all warehoused and shipped from Turn 5's warehouse in Lenexa, Kansas. This is a massive "fullfillment center" (think Amazon) that does have a small showroom, but I've been told they only sell damaged and returned items there.
Volunteer Vette Products makes them. That's who I've always bought them wholesale from and I'm pretty sure that's who most of thew other Corvette companies get them from. I've never had anyone complain about or return one of the ones from Volunteer.
Paragon used to make them also, but I don't know if Central continued to make them after the merger.
I’ve been waiting for a Paragon one thru ZIP. Bought one from a major vendor that checked it, eyes on it, only to be a C3 when it arrived. Apparently Central no longer makes them, or they’re overstocked on C3s and waiting. Thanks for the info. I’ll check with Vol. Vette.
update: The one pictured for C2 on their web page is the modified C3
