Front sway bar reinstallation woes (pictures please?)
I'm working on replacing the radiator fan on my 2005 Z51. The new fan is in place, and I'm (trying to) put everything back together, but I can't figure out how to reinstall the front sway bar for the life of me. It basically seems like I'd need to remove the fan altogether, perhaps along with bunch of the nearby hoses and pipes, to give the sway bar enough room to fit back into its mounting brackets. Does anyone have theirs up on a lift right now? Would you mind uploading some pictures of how this bar sits in relation to the radiator fan everything else nearby?.
FWIW I replaced the stock fan with this one from Four Seasons. Before installing, I eyeballed the old fan and new and "measured" their dimensions with my hands, and there were no noticeable differences (but I didn't get out a ruler or string). I didn't remove the radiator, and the new fan seems well-aligned with it. I guess it's possible that some of the hoses/lines got pushed around and are now interfering?
I'll also attach some pictures of my situation, in case anyone has advice. I'm working under jack stands, so it's hard to get a good shot.
You shouldn't have to do anything with the fan to install the sway bar. Make sure you get it oriented the correct way (i.e. not upside down) and it will fit.
Here's a picture of the passenger side showing how the end link connects to it.
