Default 1965 Coupe (driver, non-original everything)

Selling my recently acquired 1965 Corvette Coupe. Glen Green with a black interior. I bought this car from a coworker whose dad bought it over twenty years ago off eBay from a dealer in Ohio. I have the eBay ad describing it. It was sold to him with the premise of it being a Fuelie but zero evidence to back it up. It had gone through an amateur restoration, but it wasn’t a number matching anything. I bought it to have some fun with (my fourth C2), but at the end of the day, I’ve got other projects and I’m just not a coupe guy. Power windows, power steering, Classic Auto Air A/C, Silver Sport Transmission TKX 5spd conversion, Edelbrock ProFlo4 EFI. New bias ply Goldlines with reproduction steel wheels and caps. Non-original side pipes (they are the loud style). Also included is a set of later model bolt on KOs with caps, lugs, but older tires. Spare tire and carrier are present with a new spare installed too. Electric tach conversion. New Speedo cable. Rear is a 4.11 out of a 1963. Engine is a NOM 1970 350 from a Camaro. Electric fan installed behind the grille with an automatic thermostat. Runs 180 all day long in the Texas heat. Bonding strips present. No accident damage noted.

A few things to note; this is a driver. Paint is old, has scratches, chips, and the 67 style Stinger hood has improper prep with bubbling showing (pictured). Stainless around the window corners was screwed in. Radio is gutted and only for display, but who needs a radio in this car anyway? It will still need a few things sorted out, but it’s a great car with a lot of great improvements. Trailing arms were replaced along with mostly all of the front suspension. Issues the car has now that I haven’t traced down are the brake lights not working and there is a clunk when turning the wheel. I haven’t looked into either of these issues yet.

I can take any pictures or videos you may need and will post some more undercarriage photos later. Car can stay here as long as you need it to be stored for transport. I’m asking $58,000. The title says exempt due to mileage exceeding the mechanical limits. No trades. -Dave 254-998-four-four-six-two

Thanks guys. I don’t want any surprises and want people to know everything about the car. It’s a fun car and ripping through the gears really makes those side pipes growl!

Here is some undercarriage pics. And to answer some PMs, in 5th gear at 65mph I’m showing about 2300rpm and at 75mph it showing about 2600. Remember, 4.11 rear. I don’t think that’s too bad.

Speedo does bounce around as you go faster. Not really sure why since it’s a new cable. But Waze showing 75mph showed 2600rpm.

Pulled the headlight switch out and looks like the brake lights are now working. New switch comes Monday and will be installed. Headlights flip up and down with no issues.

Thanks Jake!!
