Hi everyone, for my 40th birthday my wife tracked down the owner of the 73 my dad owned until 1986 and bought it from the guy my dad sold it to. It has smoked glass t tops and I have the original painted to tops and i'd like to change them out but i'm not sure how to do it. The painted t tops have the handles for installation but the smoked glass only has a screw going into a cube that is then tightened and secures the t top. I asked the owner and he said it was 25 years since he has taken the smoked ones off and wasn't sure how to do it.
If that is a one piece top I believe it’s a Thompson Astro top Should just come off after the attach fasteners are loosened
