GMVIS Report

I am trying to get a VIS report on a C8 I may buy used. Dealers are telling me they can't legally give me one if I not the owner. Is this true?

If it has the owner's personal info I'd agree. Otherwise I don't see why not.

Yup, even guys like Rick Conti at a Chevy dealer can't get them.

You can get one by going to your dealer service and giving them your VIN number.

Yes, but the OP is trying to get one for a car he does not own. Chevy put a stop to that.
