So I had the garage floor repainted a couple of weeks ago and the Z was in the new digs feeling pretty pampered. But yesterday we drove from Syracuse to Mohonk resort in the Catskills- took the less direct 4 1/2 hour route through the twisty roads with small towns. It sounded awesome when we planned it 😎
Well it rained pretty hard the whole way … lots of standing water etc. and there is no Carwash close.
The Z won’t speak to me and it may be a while before it will.
I did promise a complete bath when we get home -including an on the lift belly wash😂
Thanks for reinforcing my own experience when my wife and I picked up our new to us 2017 C GS in NC and spent 9 days and 1500+ miles driving home. The poor car saw more rain in those 9 days than I am sure it saw in the previous 9 years and only received one coin wash on the way home. Low and behold it didn't melt like the wicked witch and once it received a proper bath looked as good as new. Amazing how truly talented those Corvette engineers are.
Even though it apparently didn't melt in the rain, it lost 50% of its value. "Driven in rain" is a category on Carfax reports now for Corvettes only. Might as well sell it now before it's worthless.

I looked into getting a rain warranty to protect me from the exposure depreciation ….only $1,200 …a month 😂
