Default Red Tide

County officials have issued a health advisory yesterday for red tide off local beaches. The advisory warns beachgoers of the algea bloom's toxin, which can attack the lungs & eyes. It's an annual "nature" thing that just happens.

But you guys are not going to the beach anyway, right?

Nice nice convoy. I'm sure Joe public is going to enjoy your own show on the Interstate. Make sure you guys get the group rate at you stay. And check out Baytowne Wharf Fri night.

i love baytown, atmosphere is great =) there is a track about 45 minutes away also if you guys wanted to head out there. maybe its a hour,at a place called Holt.Dunno just throwing suggestions out there. I havent been there in years honestly. It used to be a 1/8 track but suppose to convert it to a 1/4 track. I dunno if they finally converted it or not.

Joe Public always gets a charge out of us. Our members have some great rides. BTW, we have made reservations for Friday night at 7:00 at the Ocean Club which is supposed to be just across the highway from the complex. They have a private room for our club. I hear there is live music and a great dance floor? Maybe we can stumble back to the wharf later that night.

Default Nature calling

This red tide thing (earlier post #24) has gotten worse. Thousands of fish killed by red tide are washing up on beaches along the Gulf and the Bay per the paper.

(Sandestin is in Walton County but close enough to Okaloosa Co. for government work)

Weather forecast for next week looks great, a lot better than what we're currently getting.

That's good news! We are looking forward to the caravan and the show. The roads should be full of plastic.

There are usually several for sale. They'll be dispersed throughout as we don't do a car corral.

Chris - Are you at the HIE behind Outback?

Newspaper says 2-day rain tops 20". That rain has helped the red-tide situation a lot. Today was just perfect!

One week to go

I'm taking the boat out tomorrow so I'll have a feel of the red tide situation. I was out at rosemary beach this evening for a concert and the air was clear.

The current count for pre-registered cars is 205. I've been told you can register the day of show. The forecast calls for a high of 82 and sunshine all day.

We're looking forward to it! Order some beautiful weather for us. We are supposed to get some bad needed rain here this upcoming week. We are in drought conditions, can't even wash our cars! If you see a bunch of nasty corvettes on the road that'll be us! Just need beautiful Friday SATURDAY and Sunday..and a car wash!
